Seasoning the cookware enhances and helps to maintain the slick, nonstick performance of the cooking surface.   Here are steps to help you lightly season your nonstick or ceramic cookware surface:

Steps to Season Your Cookware

  • Season by lightly rubbing cooking oil onto the cooking surface.

  • Heat your nonstick cookware over medium heat for 2 - 3 minutes.

  • Afterwards, turn off the heat and allow your cookware to cool down.

  • Once your cookware has cooled down, hand-wash in warm, soapy water and rinse.

  • You do not need to do this process every time you use your pan.  However, we recommend seasoning your cookware every once in a while to maintain the nonstick performance.

  • To extend the life of your nonstick cookware, we also recommend washing by hand.

Ceramic Cookware

Note that over time, the characteristics of the ceramic coating may fade, but you may revitalize the performance of the ceramic coating by simply re-seasoning your cookware.
